Synopsis
In 2006 New York, disgraced singer Sloane swapped her newborn daughter with Grammy diva Aria’s baby out of deep-seated musical hatred. The two girls led totally opposite lives for two decades. Aria’s biological daughter Roxy grew up poor in Brooklyn, secretly cultivating remarkable musical talent despite Sloane’s strict ban on music. Sloane’s own child Valerie lived a glamorous life beside Aria, yet she had no real gift and built her “talent” reputation on songs stolen from Roxy via Sloane. To pay for her grandma’s kidney surgery, Roxy joined a singing contest, only to suffer constant sabotage from Valerie. Sloane even framed her for plagiarism and got her blacklisted. Cornered, Roxy worked as Valerie’s hidden ghost singer. Once the secret leaked, Valerie resorted to kidnapping and assaults to silence her rival. Aria long doubted Valerie’s identity due to inconsistent blood types and vastly different musical instincts; Valerie even tampered with her first DNA test.
