Synopsis
Elaine, the heiress of a New Jersey dynasty, marries Garrett, a pilot of humble origins, and uses her family’s fortune to help him rise to president of the airline. Before their son Jake’s birthday, Jake is seriously injured in a car accident. Only Garrett can airlift him during a storm, but he is seduced by his mistress Mia and abandons his son to save her pet cat, leading to Jake’s death. Mia fakes a pregnancy, conspires with an assistant to destroy rescue records, and joins Garrett in embezzling the Sue family’s assets, while also framing Elaine’s brother Ethan, forcing him into exile abroad. Grieving for her son, Elaine teams up with her loyal housekeeper and her returning brother Ethan to secretly lay a trap. In public, she exposes the truth and seizes back control of the family’s enterprise. In the end, Garrett’s reputation is destroyed and he is sentenced to 120 years in prison. Mia’s crimes are revealed and she goes mad. Elaine completes her revenge for her son and her family.
