Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of New York’s Mafia-ridden chaos in the last century, Rose—an ordinary girl from the lower classes—chances upon Vincent, the Gambino Don, in a seedy underground bar one rainy night as he’s being hunted by a rival family. In a moment of desperation, she pretends to be his girlfriend to help him evade capture, and from that moment on, their fates are inextricably linked. Vincent, a ruthless and powerful Mafia boss in New York, is cold-blooded and merciless. Convinced that Rose—who has seen his weakness and shown extraordinary courage—is his only weakness, he gives her a choice: die or submit to him. Rose, however, has a tragic past: her gambling-addicted father drugged and sold her to settle his debts, while her boyfriend Sean, seeking to curry favor with theater tycoon Cole, callously set her up to be defiled by him and had compromising photos taken, ruining her reputation.
