ANNA'S REVENGE
Synopsis
In a medieval world ravaged by the Black Death, Sister Teresa raises a silver-haired orphan, Anna, to heal, pray, and hide her “witch’s mark.” When Teresa discovers contagion and burns infected clothes, she is betrayed. The priest exposes Anna’s silver hair and condemns her. Teresa takes her place at the stake, leaving the last words: “Don’t believe in God. Believe in yourself. Anna, live.” Fifteen years later, Anna returns as a cold-blooded doctor with the August family’s power, a revolver named Mercy, and a list. She kills the informer, the priest, and the archbishop, and brings down the church’s rule. “God is dead,” she tells the city. “But I am a doctor. Listen to me, and you live.” After revenge, she does not ride away alone. With Theodore beside her, she moves on to save city after city—while Teresa’s burned journal whispers: “The plague is not a natural disaster. It is…”
