Synopsis

Lucy’s five-year-old son, Joey, was kidnapped and held for ransom after her husband, Arthur, fell for the lies of his childhood best friend, Amy. Joey died in a mudslide while being transported. Arthur not only covered up the truth but also publicly played a humiliating video at the funeral to mock Lucy. Devastated, Lucy filed for divorce and left the country, assuming a new identity as Ycul (Lucy spelled backwards), a top jewelry designer. A year and a half later, Arthur discovered the truth behind Amy’s lies. Realizing that he had gotten his own flesh and blood killed because of a lie, he was consumed by guilt and driven to madness. He pushed Amy into a pit of venomous snakes, where she was fatally bitten, and then traveled the world begging Lucy for forgiveness. In Paris, Lucy coldly rejected him and told him to pay the price for his crimes. Ultimately, Arthur returned to his home country, brutally murdered all his accomplices, and turned himself in to the police. He was sentenced to death and bequeathed his entire estate to Lucy’s charitable foundation, while Lucy embraced a new life as radiant as a sunflower.
