Synopsis
Amelia is the legal wife of billionaire CEO Gabriel. He hires Angelica, a student he sponsors, as their housekeeper, allowing her to freeze Amelia’s bank accounts, control the family’s finances, and turn Amelia into a laughingstock in social circles. When Gabriel’s mother accidentally falls and needs emergency surgery, Angelica maliciously blocks the funds and sends only $300, resulting in the elderly woman’s death. Deceived, Gabriel mistakes the deceased for Amelia’s mother; he coldly signs the death certificate, donates the body for dissection, and scatters the ashes into the river on Angelica’s suggestion. After the truth is exposed, Gabriel breaks down, severely injures Angelica, and is sent to prison. Three years later, Gabriel is released and begs for reconciliation. Angelica kidnaps Amelia’s mother to take revenge, and Gabriel dies with Angelica in the end. Amelia breaks free from her past, lets go of hatred, and starts a new life.
