Synopsis

She discovered that her father, Xu Maolin, had been upholding the bamboo weaving craft for over thirty years, and that it was gradually losing its market. She then attempted to transform traditional bamboo weaving into products suitable for guesthouses and ordinary families. After experiencing design errors, cost miscalculations, material shortages, reduced orders, dampness from rain, and price disagreements, she gradually understood that innovation is not about putting a pretty shell on tradition, but about respecting materials, establishing clear standards, honestly facing failures, and then finding a way of expression suitable for today's life. Ultimately, the family and partners established a stable and transparent small-scale cooperative model, allowing Qingxi bamboo weaving to re-enter everyday life.
