Bars of Obsession

Synopsis

A convict takes the fall for a violent crime to protect his underage sister, and is sent to a maximum-security prison. There, he meets the chief prison physician — a man he initially mistakes for a rival coveting his lawyer and ex-girlfriend, and treats with open hostility. In truth, the physician has been obsessed with the convict from the very first moment, secretly filling sketchbooks with his likeness. Using his medical authority, he binds the convict to the infirmary under the guise of "therapeutic custody," locking him in a suffocating web of control. As the convict fights back, he slowly uncovers that the physician's protection is disturbingly real — not a lie. Meanwhile, the physician walks a razor's edge between domination and restraint, constantly testing how far he can push. When the sister falls into crisis, a prison riot erupts, and new evidence for exoneration surfaces, the two men evolve from mortal enemies to each other's only anchor. The convict is finally cleared and released. At the prison gate, the physician is waiting — to take him home.
