Synopsis

Leo, a young alien from the advanced planet Krash, crash-lands on Earth after his spaceship malfunctions. To hide his extraterrestrial identity, he rents an apartment in a bustling city’s Happy Apartments. However, his unique alien body structure creates constant ridiculous troubles every day. Drinking tap water generates tiny electric sparks on his skin and trips the building’s power supply; he automatically floats in midair when he falls asleep, and he can lift heavy wooden cabinets with one hand effortlessly. These bizarre behaviors catch the attention of Darnell, the warm-hearted, over-imaginative Black landlord, and Emily, a curious freelance online writer living right across the hall. Darnell suspects Leo is running secret high-tech experiments in his unit, while Emily firmly believes Leo is a hidden super spy. The more Leo clumsily tries to cover up his alien traits, the wilder the rumors spread through the apartment building. Darnell and Emily team up to launch a series of absurd secret investigations, sneaking to peek through door gaps, rummage through Leo’s trash, and even cut the main power to test Leo’s glowing eyes in darkness. They mistake Leo’s gravity regulator for a deadly gravity weapon, his alien detector for military tracking gear, and his foam cleanser for toxic biochemical liquid. Leo, completely unaware of their wild conspiracy theories, takes all their surveillance and tricks as warm Earth neighborly rituals and cooperates sincerely, leading to one hilarious disaster after another. When a thunderstorm strikes and the basement power system short-circuits, the whole building faces a fire hazard. Ignoring everyone’s fear, Leo walks straight through live high-voltage wires and shuts down the broken main breaker with his bare hands, single-handedly saving all residents. After witnessing Leo’s selfless kindness and bravery, Darnell and Emily finally drop all their paranoid guesses. They stop treating Leo as a dangerous mysterious figure and accept him as part of the neighborhood family. Later, Leo receives a signal from his home planet that a rescue ship will arrive in one year. Yet after experiencing genuine human warmth and friendship, he chooses to turn down the chance to return to Krash and settle permanently on Earth. The apartment filled with funny misunderstandings turns into his warm forever home, where he lives happily with his beloved neighbors.
