Synopsis

After his tribe is slaughtered by a corrupt Roman general, Axel — a barbarian warrior — is killed in the arena. But his blood awakens an ancient Viking curse stone, tearing a hole in time. He falls through a gray swirling tunnel and lands in present-day New York City, marked with a mysterious red ring on his chest. The same Roman general Marcus and his partner Lucius have also traveled through time — six months earlier. Now they run a drug empire and a real estate scheme, covering their crimes with modern money and power. Axel cannot read, cannot speak English, and owns nothing but a hammer and a stolen gun. But he remembers every face. With the help of a pawnshop owner who recognizes his ancient combat style, and a vengeful cop whose father was killed by Marcus, Axel begins a brutal one-man war — from subway tunnels to slaughterhouses — to make them pay for the past.
