Bride of the Serpent God

Synopsis

The young maiden Irene is deeply in love with her lover, Cael, but is chosen by the village priest to be sacrificed as a bride to the legendary Snake God and cast into the deep Serpent Abyss. Waiting for her in the cave is no monster, but Ouroboros—a black python capable of taking human form. Lonely and silent, despite his serpentine nature, he has never harmed a single bride. Amid her fear, Irene gradually discovers his gentleness and vulnerability, and through their daily companionship, a unique affection begins to bloom between them. Refusing to accept her loss, Cael breaks into the Serpent Abyss alongside demon hunters and severely injures Ouroboros with poison. Choosing to follow her heart, Irene leaves the village behind to search for him. When the two are finally reunited, Irene becomes pregnant with snake eggs, and Ouroboros vows to protect her forever—their human-serpent love transcending racial divide and hatred to find a peaceful sanctuary of their own.
