Synopsis

"Gu Nianqing endured three years of marriage in the Zhou family, constantly humiliated by her mother-in-law for not bearing a child—though the real reason was that her husband never touched her. When her husband’s pregnant mistress moved into the Zhou home, her mother-in-law, desperate for a grandson, passed the woman off as a distant cousin and forced Nianqing to care for her and the unborn child. After accidentally discovering her husband’s affair, Nianqing demanded a divorce, but her husband, coveting the property under her name, forced her to transfer the house to him as a condition. Sensing danger, Nianqing fled. Outside, she was accidentally hit by a car belonging to her third brother and taken to the hospital. Meanwhile, the family butler, Mr. Bai, was sent by Third Brother to the Zhou house to search for their long-lost younger sister—the missing daughter of the Gu family. Mistaking the pregnant mistress for the sister, Mr. Bai presented lavish gifts. Greedy for wealth, both the mother-in-law and the mistress decided to fake the younger sister’s identity. After waking in the hospital, Nianqing shared her story with Third Brother, who realized she was actually the sister he had been searching for. Just then, Mr. Bai called to report that the “sister” had been found at the Zhou home, complete with a jade pendant as proof. Sensing something amiss, the third brother informed his two elder brothers, and together they began plotting to confront the Zhou family and seek justice for Nianqing. During the confrontation, the husband confessed that on their wedding night, he had not been with Nianqing but had schemed to send her to a lustful business associate for personal gain. By accident, however, it was Si Cheng—a powerful business tycoon and close friend of the three brothers—who entered Nianqing’s room that night. Unbeknownst to all, Nianqing became pregnant with Si Cheng’s child. Thus, a hidden bond from the past quietly steered everyone toward a happy ending."
