Synopsis
Leia, the eldest legitimate daughter of the Red Stag House, was once betrothed by her father to the Prince of Mycenae, only to die at the hands of her stepsister Iselle. Reborn on the very day of the oath ceremony, she rejects the prince and places her oath ribbon in the hands of Ron, the blacksmith at the city gate. Iselle planned to seize the prince for herself and condemn Leia to a life of poverty, yet she soon discovers Ron is far more dependable than the royal heir. Kaelan, who scorns blacksmiths, slowly finds himself drawn to Leia. Melantha, meanwhile, holds onto Leia’s mother’s relics to cover up her crime of swapping potions to harm others. After countless humiliations, struggles and fateful choices, Ron’s true identity is finally revealed. Leia proves that she chose Ron, not the riches promised by the gods. The Red Stag House, Iselle and Kaelan all pay the price for their deeds.
