Synopsis

‘Dark Empire’ is a web drama about business battles and suspense. Genius programmer Scarlett spent five years developing a core algorithm, only to have it stolen by her ex-boyfriend Ian and his fiancée Vivian. They used it to start a public tech company, erasing all of her contributions. Determined to get justice, she crosses paths with business tycoon heir Howard. Howard has been tracking Scarlett’s unique coding style for a long time; this technology has saved his conglomerate multiple times. They strike a deal: a temporary marriage in name only. Howard provides her with funding, legal support, and all the company resources for revenge; Scarlett helps him break free from an arranged marriage and counter his ambitious cousin Dominic. Scarlett moves into the strictly-regulated Blackwell Manor, where the conservative family head Eleanor constantly targets her, imposing a three-month probation. Dominic, outwardly friendly, secretly installs bugs, spreads rumors, and uses Ian to set traps for them. Thanks to her top-notch skills, Scarlett resolves every crisis: destroying Ian’s servers, exposing fake compromising images, and calming stock price swings caused by leaked marriage documents. Through one danger after another, the pair slowly develop genuine feelings beyond their initial partnership. In the climax, Dominic and Ian release a malicious virus that almost collapses the company’s banking system. The top tech team is helpless, and Scarlett fixes the problem on her own, finally earning Eleanor’s approval. They then gather solid evidence of Dominic’s illegal eavesdropping and market manipulation, which leads to his complete downfall; Ian and Vivian go bankrupt and face legal consequences. In the end, Scarlett tears up the marriage contract, reclaims her technology, and becomes an equal partner in both love and work with Howard. The series blends high-society power struggles, high-stakes cyber warfare, and a slow-burn romance.
