Synopsis
On November 5th, aliens end human civilization—but college student Vera discovers she rewinds 48 hours every time she dies. Determined to save the world, she fails repeatedly as everyone thinks she's crazy. Through dozens of loops, she learns the rules and teams up with Professor Finch. They uncover a secret organization collaborating with the aliens, collecting scientists' brains. Vera infiltrates a top shelter, survives two days on the brink of madness, and sees the post-apocalyptic world: twelve giant mechanical octopuses—the true cleansers. Each death strengthens her psychic powers. She learns combat, interrogation, and ruthless choices. Now capable of tearing off tentacles barehanded and using telekinesis, she's no longer the panicked girl she was. But less than a day remains. The mothership approaches, leaders squabble, and saboteurs strike. Vera must reach the alien brain-collection device—her only chance. And the biggest mystery remains: what do the aliens really want?
