Deep Sea Wrong Marriage：Revenge of the Mermaid Queen

Synopsis

Deep beneath the ocean, the mermaid clan relies on the Heart of the Deep Sea to maintain the barrier around their waters. As the once-a-century Sea Sacrifice approaches, a princess must be chosen to marry into a human conglomerate to withstand the curse. The legitimate mermaid princess, Ariel, is schemed against by her cold-blooded father and her ambitious sister, Selena. Not only does Selena falsely claim credit for saving the ocean prince Kane, but Ariel is also to be used as a curse-shield and married into the Kane family. Seeing through the conspiracy, Ariel proactively proposes a marriage swap and instead marries Ryder, a reclusive oceanographer publicly said to be crippled in both legs. After marriage, she gradually heals Ryder’s leg injury with her mermaid powers, and the two fall in love and move toward each other. Meanwhile, Selena repeatedly reveals flaws, and Kane eventually uncovers the truth that he mistook his savior, launching into an obsessive, remorse-fueled pursuit of his wife. In the end, Selena’s lies are exposed in public; she loses her reputation and is stripped of her mermaid identity. When the Sea Sacrifice crisis arrives, Ariel awakens her royal bloodline, averts the disaster, inherits the throne, and lives happily ever after with the recovered Ryder, a hidden deep-sea mogul. Kane, consumed by endless regret, grows old alone.
