Synopsis

America's wealthiest man James Ward splits from his French ex-wife, leaving their daughter Camille to grow up in France with her mother. On every European business trip, James makes time for Camille, who often accompanies him to high-end events as an English-French bilingual interpreter, shining brilliantly. Eva Grant, a status-obsessed woman, plots a fake assassination to ""save"" James, taking a staged stab wound to win his trust and become his fiancée—with her mother's unscrupulous help—to worm her way into the upper class. Unaware Camille is James' daughter, Eva torments her at the beach wedding venue, repeating the bullying she'd inflicted on Camille years earlier at a high school summer camp with her clique.
