Synopsis

Sonia Carter, billionaire founder and CEO of Amelia’s Kitchen, notices a sharp surge in negative reviews and massive customer loss across her restaurant chain. Suspecting internal corruption among senior management, she conceals her true identity and goes undercover as a minimum-wage part-timer named Sophie at EK-047—the franchise store with the worst reputation in the whole brand—to dig up hidden scandals. During her undercover work, Sonia endures harsh mistreatment from store manager Brianna and repeated sexual harassment and violent intimidation by kitchen foreman Kyle. Only Maria, a kind cleaner struggling to support her injured husband and three kids, secretly lends her a hand and saves her from danger several times. As Sonia investigates deeper, she uncovers a huge conspiracy: Brianna has a secret affair with Mike Black, the company’s vice president of operations, whom Sonia promoted from a fry cook thirteen years ago. Mike abuses his power to cover up the store’s rule-breaking, erase employee complaints, and plans to steal the secret sauce recipe left by Sonia’s late mother and sell it to rival brands for five million dollars. Sonia secretly gathers emails, audio recordings and solid evidence. On the day of the illegal deal, she arranges security teams to arrest all criminals on site. When Kyle takes her hostage, Sonia fights back and exposes her real identity. Mike, Brianna and Kyle are convicted of commercial espionage, embezzlement and assault, receiving lengthy prison sentences. After the scandal, Sonia launches a series of corporate reforms including a part-timer justice insurance policy and mandatory grassroots work for executives. The honest cleaner Maria gets promoted to store manager, turning the once problematic EK-047 into a top-rated restaurant.
