Synopsis
This female-oriented youth campus suspense drama follows Eve, an orphan raised by a diner owner Mara. Loan sharks harass Mara over massive debts, until mysterious steward Augustus reveals Eve is the long-lost biological daughter of wealthy tycoon Silas Niles. Moving into the luxurious Niles manor, Eve faces vicious hostility from Silas’s wife Vanessa and her spoiled daughter Chloe, who fear Eve will seize the family inheritance. They strike a harsh bet: Eve must win a full scholarship to Winthrop University within a year or renounce all heir rights. Transferred to elite Holden Preparatory School, Eve clashes repeatedly with Chloe but shocks everyone by ranking second in entrance exams, only one point behind top student Caden. Unbeknownst to Eve, her anonymous online confidant Z is exactly cold, reclusive Caden. The pair team up for the APAC national academic contest, uncovering Vanessa’s seventeen-year crimes: she framed Eve’s mother Lena, embezzled family trust funds and foundation assets, and repeatedly sends people to sabotage Eve.
