Synopsis

On the eve of his coronation, Feng Jin, Crown Prince of Xizhao Kingdom, was betrayed by Shen, the supervisor of the Eastern Depot. The Prince of Huainan seized the throne, and Feng Jin perished in a desperate fight to the end. Reborn three months earlier, she no longer conceals her true identity and ascends the throne openly as a female emperor. She rescues Jing Hanchuan, the young lord of Huainan who was fated to die tragically, and trains him into a sharp weapon for revenge. She lays a trap at Lanyue Tower and wins over Jiaoyue, who would later become her favored consort, to secure the inner palace. She also sees through Shen Lian's schemes and severs his ties with the Prince of Huainan. When the Prince of Huainan sends his daughter to the capital under the pretense of a marriage alliance to verify Feng Jin's gender, she instead asks Princess Yongchang to expose the truth behind Jing Hanchuan's mother's death, forcing the prince into total submission. The grand imperial birthday feast then becomes the stage for the final conspiracy.
