Synopsis

Lexi is forced into a secret affair by Julian, who blackmails her with her mother’s ICU treatment. Twelve years earlier, Lexi and her mother saved Julian, a homeless illegitimate son—a kindness now repaid with betrayal. Meanwhile, Lexi reconnects with Alaric, whom she rescued as a child; he recognizes her and protects her, sparking Julian’s jealous rage. At Julian and Victoria’s engagement party, Julian uses Lexi as a human shield during an assassination attempt, wounding her gravely. Alaric saves her and slowly earns her trust. Julian, obsessed, continues his torment—imprisoning, humiliating, and even stabbing Lexi. When Lexi finally escapes to the hospital, she learns her mother died a month ago; Julian had fabricated the ICU data. Alaric retrieves her mother’s ashes and secures evidence of Julian’s crimes. Victoria, abandoned by Julian, dies in a car crash. Julian is arrested and imprisoned after a final confrontation. Two months later, Lexi scatters her mother’s ashes by Lake Geneva, finds closure, and accepts Alaric’s love—beginning a new life of freedom and peace.
