Synopsis

"Olivia, a female boxer, fights in underground matches to raise money to save her werewolf boyfriend Ethan, who is bedridden. During a match, she is badly beaten, but looks up to see Ethan, who should be bedridden, flirting with another werewolf, Morgan, on the second floor. Heartbroken, Olivia meets a witch and drinks a potion that severs the mate bond—a potion that activates only when she is completely hopeless, costing half her lifespan and her ability to love again. Morgan, having failed to seduce Ethan, finds Olivia and cruelly lies to her, saying that Ethan despises the moon goddess’s fated mate (Olivia), that he really likes Morgan, and that they even made a bet using Olivia as proof. Olivia’s heart shatters. In truth, Ethan stays by Morgan’s side only because she once saved his life and later claimed she was being “harassed” by werewolves, asking him to protect her and walk her home. He has rejected Morgan’s sexual advances and still thinks of Olivia. But he repeatedly misunderstands Olivia: one rainy night, he takes Morgan home under his umbrella, leaving a severely injured Olivia on the roadside; later he forces Olivia to admit fault; and in an attempt to soothe Morgan’s skin hunger, he ends up hurting Olivia. When Olivia finally leaves in despair, Ethan tries to chase after her, but Morgan stops him again with another “harassment” excuse—he hesitates. To protect Morgan from harassment, Ethan tells the alleged harasser that he has already marked Morgan. This is exactly what Olivia, who had softened and come back hoping to hear Ethan’s explanation, overhears. She leaves for good. Morgan takes the opportunity to drug and sleep with Ethan. When Ethan wakes up, horrified at what he has done, he finally finds evidence that Olivia had been fighting in underground boxing matches for his sake. Olivia walks into the night with her suitcase, never looking back. And Ethan will never know that the words Morgan said to Olivia were the true lies that destroyed everything."
