Synopsis

A modern youth, James Cooper, accidentally travels through time and becomes a lame boy in a chaotic, famine‑stricken era, and is cruelly harmed by villains. At a critical moment, he awakens the two‑world shuttle System, which not only heals his leg injury but also allows him to travel between ancient and modern times. James, together with his beloved Alice Bennett, sets out. He befriends the upright official Edward Blake, and takes in the clever orphan Ella Foster to manage household affairs. Using modern materials, advanced weapons and technology, he punishes local bullies and corrupt constables, wipes out the Darkwind Outpost bandits hiding in the mountains, solves the severe drought problem, and settles displaced refugees. Facing the invading Xiongnu army, James creates new‑style armaments and defeats the powerful enemy with fewer forces. On the way, he also rescues the Empress Madeline Windsor, who was traveling incognito. With extraordinary abilities and numerous achievements, this former destitute cripple gradually rises in the chaotic world, and is eventually ennobled as a prince of a different surname, achieving a legendary life.
