Synopsis

Bai Zhizhi, an ordinary office worker in modern times, stayed up late binging a dramatic tragic novel. She was so enraged by the weak-willed heroine who kept swallowing grievances that she nearly had a heart attack. When she opened her eyes again, she had transmigrated into the body of that very heroine from the book. Faced with the cold-hearted male lead, her hypocritical adopted sister, and her muddleheaded parents, she thought about the miserable fate waiting for her in the original story. She could no longer hold back her anger: she shot sharp retorts at the man and exposed her adopted sister’s fake mask. Yet after giving in to her momentary rage, she found herself cornered with nowhere to run, crushed by the male lead’s immense power and influence.
