Synopsis

In a modern Los Angeles where the gods have retired, divine power is measured in followers—the more fans you have, the stronger you are. Once a mighty war god, Ares has been reduced to a “human punching bag” in underground fight clubs, going by the name Alex, just to care for his ailing sister. When the sun god Apollo selects Alex’s sister as the sacrificial centerpiece for a global live-streamed “Hunt the Old Gods” reality show to compete for the top spot on the divine rankings, this forgotten god is forced to step into the arena of the gods in a mortal body. Everyone bets he’ll be torn apart in the first round—until he grabs the god of speed, Hermes, by the throat with his bare hands. The live comments explode from mockery to “War God Has Arrived.” Athena, in the VIP section, rises in shock, her gaze recalling the only opponent who stood beside her a thousand years ago. Facing the collapse of his fanbase and the imminent destruction of his divinity, Alex shatters the chains of false faith and awakens his primal, blood-red power. After knocking down the sun god with a single punch, he refuses to reclaim his throne and dismantles the entire follower-based divinity system. In the end, he vanishes into the crowd, leaving behind a boxing gym on a street corner named “Ares”—where he exchanges a knowing smile with the goddess of wisdom who pushes open the door and removes her sunglasses.
