Grant Me the Laurel

Synopsis

"Meng Tingwan is the eldest daughter of the Meng family. Due to an inauspicious birth, she was sent to the countryside to live with her grandfather. Exceptionally gifted, she was once renowned as the Golden Needle Sage. However, five years ago, she misdiagnosed her grandfather’s illness in an unexpected turn of events, missing the critical window to save him and leaving him to pass away with regret. Devastated, she sealed away her golden needles, vowing never to practice medicine again—and thus, the Golden Needle Sage vanished without a trace. To fulfill her grandfather’s dying wish, she returns to the Meng family under the guise of a good-for-nothing and marries Huo Mingyuan, a wheelchair-bound man similarly despised by his own family. Huo Mingyuan treats her well, but his congenital disability has made him an outcast in his clan. After their marriage, the couple faces constant humiliation and oppression from those who look down on them—until the day the heroine’s true identity is revealed, turning the tables on everyone."
