Synopsis

After a devastating car accident on a stormy night, Claire and six old friends of her late twin sister Eva are trapped in Blackpine 13 Motel—a desolate, eerie motel deep in the wilderness. Cut off from the outside world by floods and with no phone signal, they are plunged into a nightmare of paranoia, supernatural terror, and brutal murders. One by one, the group is hunted and killed in ritualistic ways, each death tied to the fifth anniversary of Eva’s supposed “suicide.” Plagued by ghostly apparitions, cryptic clues, and black magic rituals, long-buried secrets begin to surface: Eva did not take her own life. Five years ago, Eva was betrayed, injured, and left for dead by her jealous friends. To cover their crime, they injected her with a lethal dose of fentanyl and faked her suicide. Now, someone—or something—is making them pay. As the death toll rises, the kind psychiatrist Liam Cohen reveals his true face: he has been secretly obsessed with Eva and masterminded this entire trap to avenge her. He intends to destroy Claire’s soul so Eva’s spirit can take over her body. But as the camera lingers on Claire in her dark room, her eyes flash ice-blue—one eye warm, one icy. A blood pentagram appears on the wall.
