He Traded Me for a Gold Digger

Synopsis

On her grandfather's 80th birthday, Jiang Nian's fiancé Fu Yuchen publicly dumps her for a poor intern named Su Nuanuan, declaring "she's ten thousand times better than Jiang Nian." The next day, his grandfather—the wealthiest man in the city—shows up with all four of his other grandsons and tells Jiang Nian: "Pick any one. Whoever you choose becomes the Fu family heir." She picks the second brother, Fu Yuting, and they strike a clean "no strings attached" partnership deal. Stripped of the Fu family's protection, Yuchen gets scammed out of his entire fortune—five million dollars gone. Su Nuanuan drops him the moment he goes broke. The two end up brawling in the street and both go to prison: Yuchen for fraud and embezzlement, Su Nuanuan for stealing a luxury watch. Meanwhile, Jiang Nian's business partnership with Yuting grows into something real. They marry in a grand ceremony, while her ex and his "true love" rot behind bars.
