Synopsis
Chu Zhou, who is raising his late sister's orphaned child Xiao Bao, enters into a contractual marriage with Xiao Bao's kindergarten assistant teacher, Xiao Keke. The two start off suspicious of each other, but after going through a loan shark incident and repeated schemes and manipulations from his childhood friend Luo Qi, their misunderstandings gradually give way to genuine feelings. Chu Zhou repeatedly steps up to defend his wife, while Xiao Keke also risks herself to save Xiao Bao in times of danger. Luo Qi teams up with others to create constant conflicts, and even attempts to assassinate Xiao Keke, only to end up injuring Chu Zhou instead. In the end, Luo Qi is brought to justice, and Zhou Yuan steps aside to let the couple be together. Chu Zhou annuls the contractual agreement and falls in love with Xiao Keke. Xiao Bao presents them with wedding rings, and the trio finds their happily ever after.
