Synopsis
Evelyn and Arthur started from scratch at the Port of Galveston and co-founded the NexTrans Group. Five years ago, a cargo ship caught fire, and while trying to save Arthur, Evelyn had her left arm crushed by a mast and was fitted with a mechanical prosthesis. Arthur, however, grew disgusted with Evelyn because of her disability, secretly took on a young mistress named Chloe, and embezzled union pension funds to engage in the smuggling of controlled substances. After discovering Arthur’s betrayal, Evelyn decided she would no longer tolerate it. Using her hidden identity as the illegitimate daughter of the late union president Harlan Cooper, she took control of the BayBro Union overnight. At the memorial service, she exposed Arthur’s crime of driving Harlan to his death and sent him to prison. At the same time, she purged the executives who had betrayed her and officially became the head of the NexTrans Group. After multiple confrontations with Victor, the president of the NordLord Group, the two went from testing each other’s limits to ultimately joining forces. Standing atop the ruins of power, Evelyn crowned herself, becoming the true queen of the South Coast.
