Synopsis
Ethel Hudson learned she had terminal brain cancer when her son prepared for the college application. Ethel was helping him with it and was very strict with him. They argued a lot. When Ethel was still married, she hired Karen White as Bill's tutor. Karen drove a wedge between Ethel and Bill and seduced Ethel's husband, Hale Hudson. But Bill was on Karen's side. He even helped cover up for them. Ethel got a divorce then. 5 days before Bill took the exam, Ethel decided to abandon treatment. Bill knew nothing about this and still argued with her. On the day he finished the exam, he found the farewell note Ethel had left for him and felt very guilty about it.
