Synopsis
Alara, true heir of the Blackwood witch clan, was betrayed by her sister Vivian and husband Leon. They seized her throne, killed her firstborn, and passed off Vivian's daughter Chloe as Alara's own. For years, Alara was cursed, imprisoned, and humiliated. Her younger daughter Evelyn grew up in exile and became the feared Shadow Queen of the underground witch markets. Learning her mother was being tormented, she abandoned her mission and stormed Blackwood Manor—killing the offender and taking Alara to break the curse. Vivian, Leon, and Chloe fought back using elders, witch hunters, and blood pacts. Evelyn burned her disguise, subdued the BlackWolf hunters, reclaimed the moonstone, and exposed Chloe as a fraud. Z, the Blood Moon emissary, saved Alara and pursued Evelyn. Chloe kept provoking and kept losing. Desperate, she faked remorse, poisoned Evelyn, and dragged them to the old birthing chamber.
