Synopsis
Evelyn Carter is the sole heir of the wealthy Carter family and the lady of the Blackwood Estate. Before Evelyn Carter’s marriage, her father, William Carter, became suspicious of Adrian Cole’s background and established the Carter Family Trust, stipulating that Evelyn Carter could only fully take over the family trust, funds, estate assets, and Alaskan mining rights after turning 25. Three years ago, Evelyn Carter became blind in both eyes due to a car accident and was confined in the estate by her husband, Adrian Cole, under the pretense of care. On the surface, Adrian Cole appeared to be a gentle husband and family trust advisor, but in reality, he had long been involved with the Black Thorn Group and approached Evelyn Carter solely to seize all assets under her name. After Evelyn Carter miraculously regained her sight, she witnessed Adrian Cole having an affair with her stepmother, Chloe Bennett, but did not expose them immediately.
