Synopsis

In a coastal town on Norway’s west coast, perpetually shrouded in sea fog, five strangers adrift in life converge by the tides of fate. There is Henrik, the sixty‑year‑old lighthouse keeper; Ingrid, a potter trapped in a creative slump; Magnus, a young boy haunted by his brother’s death; Sylvie, who hides from reality behind her old‑book shop; and Elias, a piano repairman living under an assumed name.Each a solitary island, they are drawn toward one another amid raging storms. There are no sensational clashes, only quiet redemption unfolding slowly in the glow of lighthouse beams, the texture of clay, and the resonance of piano notes. As the tides ebb and flow, they borrow courage from one another to face their wounds. Eventually, they bid each other farewell in late autumn and set off for their separate futures. This is a gentle ode to parting: to meet is to be redeemed.
