Interwoven Souls

Synopsis

Lily is the Smith family's biological musical prodigy, cherished by her parents; Rose, her adopted older sister, has long lived in the shadow of jealousy due to her lack of musical talent. A sinister black magic ritual causes their souls to swap bodies: Rose usurps Lily’s physique, talent, fiancé (Ethan), and status within the family, while Lily is trapped in Rose’s ugly body—which carries a criminal record—and cast into prison to endure inhumane torment. In prison, Lily transforms from a timid girl into a ruthless survivor; she learns to defend herself through violence and cunning, and befriends a mysterious wealthy businesswoman named Margaret—who turns out to be her long-lost biological sister. With Margaret’s aid, Lily executes a meticulously planned revenge after her release: she systematically exposes Rose’s plagiarism, infidelity, and even a plot to poison their adoptive parents, gradually reclaiming her honor, love, and family standing. Ultimately, with the help of Wendy—Margaret’s younger sister and the source of the black magic—the two women’s souls are restored to their original bodies. Rose suffers a mental breakdown and is committed to an asylum, while Lily regains her identity and happiness. However, a post-credits scene hints that this soul-swapping experiment is far from over.
