Synopsis

After mastering his immortal arts on Flower and Fruit Mountain, Sun Wukong returns to wreak havoc. He first visits the Dragon Palace of the Eastern Sea to claim the Ruyi Golden Cudgel as his weapon, then storms the Underworld to erase his name from the Book of Life and Death, throwing the realm into chaos. To appease him, the Heavenly Court offers him a lowly position as the "Protector of the Horses". Enraged by the insult, Wukong rebels, returns to the mortal world, and declares himself the "Great Sage Equal to Heaven". The Heavenly Court sends the Four Heavenly Kings and Prince Nezha to subdue hi The Dragon King lets him try the Divine Sea Stabilizing Rod. It can change size freely and suits Sun Wukong perfectly. The Dragon King soon regrets it and sends shrimp and crab soldiers to stop him. Sun Wukong defeats them easily and leaves the Dragon Palace. The furious Dragon King plans to report the matter to the Jade Emperor and send heavenly soldiers to capture the demon monkey.
