Synopsis
Markus Voss, the exiled prince of Mars, survives a deadly coup orchestrated by his uncle Silas after the poisoning of Queen Raye. Hiding as a mercenary known as the Lone Ranger, Markus uses his rare Inversion ability to survive the Martian wastelands while secretly preparing to reclaim his world. Along the way, he joins the Dustborn squad and falls in love with its leader, Evelyn. After discovering that Silas has tortured Queen Raye in an attempt to steal her power, Markus leads a rebellion against the tyrant. By defeating Silas, saving his mother, and exposing years of corruption, Markus restores hope to Mars and ascends the throne as its rightful king.
