Synopsis

The heiress of a rich family marries far away into a poor household in the Northeast mountains. The wedding ride is a tractor. Their rented wedding room is a typical heated brick bed. Her husband's family has elderly parents with limited mobility and an older brother with disabilities. Nicky Quinn looks at the room full of sick and weak people, then gazes at her husband Hutch Jones, heart aching: These years have been tough for you. So she starts working hard—handing out flyers during the day and selling jewelry at night, believing things would get better for the family!
