Synopsis

Vera Goldstein, a Chicago fertility doctor, uncovers her clinic’s secret: her director Daniel illegally sold over 300 patients’ frozen eggs to New Era Genetics without consent. Fired after reporting the crime, she infiltrates the biotech firm as a cleaner to gather damning evidence of forged signatures and illegal gene research. Vera unites wronged patients under the group “Egg Guardians” and files a class-action lawsuit. Daniel and the firm’s CEO get convicted, yet Vera stumbles on Project Phoenix—a global ring engineering genetically edited “designer babies” from smuggled eggs shipped overseas. With help from lab whistleblower Clara, her lawyer daughter Lily and teen designer-baby Emma, Vera tracks hundreds of modified children worldwide, builds a free medical network for them, and pushes global genetic regulation. She runs a permanent fertility rights hotline, relentlessly exposing medical exploitation while reconciling broken family bonds and honoring stolen biological origins.
