Night Blood

Synopsis

Ordinary office worker Ethan Cole is transformed by the vampire Lilith during a late-night overtime shift, becoming enslaved to the vampire noble Croven and collared with a control device. In his darkest hour, he unexpectedly awakens along-lost royal vampire bloodline, shattering his restraints and overthrowing the tyrannical old regime. Yet newfound power does not lead Ethan down a path of mere vengeance. He rallies oppressed lower-tier vampires, werewolves, witches, and other dark factions, establishing an egalitarian order from the base of an abandoned church. However, external threats soon emerge: Alpha Grey leads a three-clan alliance in a surprise assault; Marcus, returned from Europe, secretly corrupts ancient seals to unleash the primordial deity known as the Devourer; and the millennia-old Hunter families launch purging campaigns under the banner of "cleansing." Ethan must fight relentless battles while navigating deep-rooted animosities between the clans. Blending urban fantasy with political intrigue, this series unfolds across modern Chicago through pivotal events-the breaking of blood curses, the shadow markets, the altar of sacred blood-gradually revealing the shocking secrets of the royal lineage. The protagonist evolves from victim to protector, wrestling with choices between immortality and humanity, power and responsibility. The involvement of human journalist Sarah further blurs the boundary between the dark world and human society. As various factions are forced to the negotiating table, an ancient seal silently crumbles-a terror older than all enemies stirs awake, and Ethan's power will face its ultimate trial in the war to come.
