Synopsis

Ben Thompson, a timid high school food delivery boy, gains extraordinary superpowers including enhanced physical strength, flight and electric shocks after forming a symbiotic bond with Q, a fugitive alien jellyfish that crash-landed on Earth. The sharp-tongued, tsundere Q has long been hunted by its arch-nemesis, the Shadow Octopus. Transformed by his new abilities, Ben grows far beyond his timid self and becomes the masked vigilante Nightshade, protecting the city at night. When the Shadow Octopus arrives on Earth, possesses human hosts, severs Ben and Q’s symbiotic connection and abducts Q, Ben overcomes his reliance on alien powers and embarks on a desperate rescue alone. Their bond deepens infinitely as they defeat the powerful enemy and save the city. Yet a second alien fleet heads for Earth, leaving a thrilling cliffhanger.
