Synopsis
In her past life, Princess Liang Mingzhao of Liang Kingdom chose Shen Yanqing as her consort. She lived as a widow after his "death," only to see him kiss Lin Zhenzhen before her death, dying in regret. Reborn on consort-selection day, she seeks revenge: she picks Shen’s rival Xie Linfeng and hides her choice to make Shen feel unrequited love. Shen is also reborn. He gives up the consort position but still thinks Mingzhao will choose him, protecting Lin Zhenzhen. When he learns the sword dance that won his heart was Mingzhao’s (not Lin’s), he regrets, divorces Lin, and fails to make amends. Mingzhao later knows Xie stayed unmarried for her in the past life.
