Synopsis

Jax Miller is the untouchable campus athlete with one rule for everyone: keep your distance. No touching, no sharing, no emotional roommate bonding—and absolutely no exceptions. Then soft-spoken art student Miles Winter moves into Room 214 with sketchbooks, pillows, night lights, and a smile that keeps crossing every line Jax tries to draw. At first, Jax insists he is straight, guarded, and only protecting Miles because “someone has to.” But every emergency becomes an exception: catching Miles before he falls, shielding him from bullies, swapping food when he learns about an allergy, standing between him and cruel rumors, and getting jealous before he can even name what he feels. As campus gossip grows, their fake boundaries begin to collapse into real feelings. Miles teaches Jax that love is not control, protection should come with permission, and being brave can mean telling the truth in public. When family pressure, sports injuries, and social scrutiny test them, Jax finally stops hiding behind rules.
