Peak Of The Pitch: Forbidden Zone

Synopsis

St. Claire, once a prodigious footballer whose career was cut short by a deliberately orchestrated foul, vanished into obscurity and worked as a lowly mechanic. Three years later, Emily, the owner of the relegation-threatened Lions, found him on a rainy night to save her family business. She offered to clear his loan shark debts in exchange for hiring him as a tactical coach. As St. Claire led the team's comeback, he had to fend off attacks from his nemesis Maxim, poisoned turf, poached players, bribed referees, and fabricated evidence, while also finding himself again amidst Emily's dangerously intimate entanglement. As the season progressed, he uncovered the truth behind his old injury. His surgeon had been bought off by Maxim, and the operation was sabotaged. In the end, St. Claire led the team to a last-minute victory in the final, simultaneously exposing recordings of Maxim fixing matches and sending him to prison. He and Emily moved from suspicion to symbiosis, taking joint control of the club, and turned down an offer from a mysterious tycoon, choosing instead to stay on the pitch that belonged to them.
