Synopsis

The thick fog of South Boston conceals an absurd power swap. Cathy, an ER surgeon, believes her lawyer husband Owen died in a gang explosion — until she realizes that the twin brother now running the East Coast smuggling network has the exact same habits as her husband. In truth, Owen faked his death to replace his brother and take over the bloody empire, believing he could come clean once secure — unaware that his lie is destroying Cathy. To keep up the act, Owen begins a forbidden, tension‑filled cohabitation with his unknowing sister‑in‑law, Evelyn. She sees Cathy as a madwoman coveting her position, using underworld ties to revoke Cathy's medical license and torching a clinic to silence her. In the flames, Owen — desperate to protect his cover — pulls Evelyn into his arms and walks past Cathy. The fire burns away Cathy's last feelings. She tears up the marriage, and accepts the proposal of Arthur, a powerful lawyer who has loved her for years — a man who can destroy the smuggling network entirely. When Owen seizes control of the streets and returns to win back his wife, he finds Cathy holding hands with Arthur at a college reunion.
