Please Marry My Mom
Synopsis
Twenty-five years ago, Sylvan Linden, a young man from the countryside working as a hotel doorman, met Vivian Kane, the heiress of the wealthy Kane family. In defiance of an arranged marriage set up by her father, Glory Kane, Vivian had a one-night stand with Sylvan, which led to the collapse of the engagement and the Kane family nearly going bankrupt due to retaliation from the Green family. In a fit of rage, Glory ordered a family member, Vex Kane, to severely beat Sylvan, leaving him seriously injured and with no memory of the past. After discovering she was pregnant, Vivian made a dramatic comeback, reclaiming control of the family business. Her father suffered a stroke, Vex fled and left with a one-month-old baby. In a final act of cruelty, Glory abandoned the baby on a roadside where Sylvan usually walks. Unaware of the child's origins, Sylvan took him in and raised her as his own for the next twenty-three years. Now working at a car repair shop, Sylvan is unexpectedly reunited with his daughter Oniria Kane, who comes looking for him. Vivian also arrives in a hurry. After twenty-five years, she recognizes Sylvan immediately—but he doesn't remember her. To avoid overwhelming him with the truth of their past and the vast difference in status, Vivian and Oniria choose to keep their identities hidden. Sylvan mistakes Vivian for a janitor. Meanwhile, Sylvan's adopted son, Heath Linden, marries Tiffany Pan, who manipulates him into draining Sylvan's life savings and even selling the old family house. Despite this, Sylvan continues working hard to support them and pay off their mortgage, only to be heartlessly thrown out of his own house by Heath and Tiffany. This is where the story begins.
