Synopsis

Elena once had a background in art history. After ten years of marriage, she became a full-time housewife, devoting all her energy to her family and relying entirely on her husband, Dominic, for support. By chance, she discovered Dominic’s extramarital affair and learned that he had secretly transferred all their marital assets, even misappropriating their daughter’s college savings. If she were to divorce at this point, Elena, who had no income, would not only get none of the assets but might also lose custody of her daughter. Dominic, the vice president of a publicly listed real estate company, is greedy and selfish, maintaining the appearance of a good husband. His lover, Bianca, manages a jewelry store, was abandoned in childhood, and is deeply entangled in the relationship. In desperation, Elena turns to her cleaner, Martha—a single mother whose daughter urgently needs a kidney transplant and who is also suffering from domestic abuse and extortion by her ex-husband. The two form an alliance: Martha, professionally styled, assumes the identity of a wealthy South African mineral heiress “Marilyn” to act as bait, while Elena wins three million in start-up funds through high-stakes racing. Martha moves into Elena’s house posing as her close friend, and Dominic is indeed deeply attracted to the fabricated high-yield ruby investment. During their interactions, Bianca gradually sees Dominic’s true nature. She suffers deliberate harm that nearly causes a miscarriage, while also accumulating substantial evidence of his infidelity and fraud. Meanwhile, their financier Marcus discovers that Bianca is actually his long-lost half-sister from his father. Bianca sets aside her grudges and joins Elena’s camp. Dominic’s ex-husband Victor continues to threaten Martha, but Elena, using Dominic’s leverage, resolves it completely; Jack, Dominic’s friend who was coldly abandoned, switches sides to become a key witness. Driven by greed, Dominic invests all the transferred assets into the fictional project and signs high-risk trap loan contracts. Elena, armed with a complete chain of evidence, sues for divorce and recovers thirteen million in assets. Dominic’s professional scandal is exposed, leading to his dismissal and complete ruin, ultimately leaving him homeless. His attempts at revenge fail, and he pays the price himself. After the upheaval, Martha receives her reward, saves her daughter, and becomes the manager of Elena’s gallery; Bianca returns to her family and takes over the jewelry business; Elena restarts her art career, opens her gallery, completing her transformation from dependence to independence, and reconciles with Marcus to move forward together. The three women support each other and each takes control of her own life.
