Silence Beneath the Mining Town
Synopsis
After being abducted from a highway, Delia, a university student, endures four months of captivity in an isolated ore camp. Forced to pose as Holt Brackett's voiceless partner, she is controlled by drugs, violence, and fear. When a cave-in makes Holt disappear, his mother Verna and sister Piper plan to trade Delia to another buyer. She escapes into the garage of Wade, a hard-edged trucker who shelters her and uses a secret tapping code to help her reclaim the words she has buried. But a concealed law enforcement photograph reveals Wade is tracing the shipping network that transports captives for Emmett's criminal ring. As the Bracketts pursue her and the traffickers seek to erase a dangerous witness, Delia gathers proof, defends her identity, and forces Wade to decide whether his mission matters more than her survival.
