Surrender to the Enemy

Synopsis

The once-renowned Sterling family, once a household name throughout the city, was forced into bankruptcy, and its assets were fully acquired by their arch-rival, the Vance Group. Chloe, the down-and-out former president of Sterling, was cornered on the street by loan sharks demanding repayment and about to be beaten when, with no way out, Aria—the aloof and proud female CEO of the Vance Group—sped to the scene in her car and rescued her. To raise the money for her terminally ill grandmother’s surgery and to infiltrate the Vance Group to uncover the truth behind her family’s bankruptcy, Chloe swallows her pride and signs an “Exclusive Submissive Contract” with Aria, becoming Aria’s personal assistant and exclusive sub. However, Aria—who to outsiders appears cold and ruthless, suffers from a fear of physical contact, and never takes off her gloves—seems to be using their master-submissive dynamic to subject Chloe to all sorts of humiliating, heart-pounding “training” sessions in private rooms and offices. In reality, though, she is secretly searching for a heart donor overseas for Chloe and repeatedly steps forward to shield her from the undercurrents of corporate warfare. As Bruce—an ambitious executive at Vance—Vice President Rebecca, and Daphne, the heiress of a multinational conglomerate, become involved, the business conspiracy and traps behind the short-selling of Sterling years ago gradually come to light. After surviving a kidnapping in a cruise ship’s private cabin, a daring shootout to save a life, and several moments of physical and emotional intimacy, these arch-rivals—who had been at odds for a decade—finally break down their defenses and resolve their misunderstandings, evolving from a battle of wills into a wholehearted, mutual commitment.
