Tear Off Your Masks

Synopsis

Rowena, a wealthy socialite, died in her hospital room filled with bitterness—her youngest son, whom she had raised single-handedly, had personally pulled out her oxygen tube. Reborn five years earlier, the first scene she witnessed upon opening her eyes was her eldest son, Damian, choking his daughter-in-law, Willow, for the sake of his mistress, Vivian. In her previous life, she had doted on her children, only to watch helplessly as the family business was defrauded into bankruptcy by her second son-in-law. She died a miserable death in her hospital bed, with only her daughter-in-law Willow—whom she had always despised—watching over her bedside. Given a second chance at life, Rowena came to a complete realization. She slapped her foolish eldest son awake and publicly exposed the scheming Vivian’s self-orchestrated charade in public, and transferred all the family assets into Willow’s name. She took her daughter-in-law to exclusive clubs, danced passionately with male athletes, and personally kicked her good-for-nothing son out of the house. When her second daughter, Selene, threatened to jump off a building to force her to marry the scumbag Finn, she watched coldly: “Then go ahead and jump.” She then staged a “bankruptcy charade” to make her love-struck daughter to see the true face of her so-called “true love” with her own eyes. When her most beloved youngest son reveals his malicious nature, a sixteen-year-old mystery involving a baby swap comes to light. From a discarded wife of a wealthy family to a queen of revenge who takes on the whole world, Rowena is determined to make everyone understand in this lifetime: no one who owes her will get away scot-free.
